Summary
LinkedIn is seeking a Manager, Strategic Planning & Initiatives to lead transformational initiatives and future-state business processes for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions. This role partners cross-functionally to scale GTM operational and planning processes that drive business growth and efficiency.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a high-performance GTM strategy & operations team.
- Coach and mentor team members with a focus on operational rigor, skills growth, and career development.
- Deliver global planning and operational processes, including annual planning, sales territory design and optimization, forecasting, compensation design, and quota setting/management.
- Lead strategic and operational initiatives across Sales and GTM Ops, including GTM strategy development, client intelligence, process improvement, and automation.
- Define, track, and report KPIs to inform leadership on business health and performance.
- Drive short- and long-term process optimization to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify risks, escalate appropriately, and recommend resolution options.
- Develop mitigations and solutions with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
- Proactively frame business problems and recommend paths forward.
- Build strong collaborative partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders and functions.
- Demonstrate ownership and influence beyond core responsibilities to help scale results.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in go-to-market, sales operations, business operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, strategy, or analytics.
- 1+ year of people management experience.
- Experience with data analysis/modeling in Excel.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- BA/BS in business, finance, economics, communications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred: knowledge of territory planning, segmentation, quota allocation, pipeline/forecasting, business performance management, and compensation design.
- Preferred: SQL experience.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including structuring ambiguous problems and producing executive-ready presentations.
- Preferred: strong collaboration, influence, organizational, and program management skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Preferred: experience with CRM, sales tools, and data visualization tools; ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Preferred: process and workflow design experience.
- Preferred: experience in digital advertising/marketing or large-scale tech environments.
- Preferred: AI fluency.
- Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
