Senior DevOps Engineer (Hetzner / Kubernetes / GitOps)

Betarchitect is building a high-performance, event-driven iGaming B2B platform with a focus on cost-efficiency and lean infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own our infrastructure, automation, and security protocols. You will manage production Kubernetes clusters on Hetzner and ensure seamless, secure deployments of our NX-based monorepo.

• Provision and manage Hetzner Cloud and Bare Metal resources using Terraform
• Maintain and scale production-grade Kubernetes clusters (K3s/Kubeadm) on Hetzner for optimal performance
• Implement secure secret workflows using SOPS and Age to prevent sensitive data exposure
• Maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines for NX monorepo with NestJS microservices and Next.js frontends
• Manage Cloudflare configurations including WAF, Workers, DNS, and Load Balancing
• Support event-driven architecture reliability by managing PostgreSQL, Kafka, and ClickHouse Cloud connectivity and scaling
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with iGaming industry standards for AML/CDD and data security
• Write custom Python or Bash scripts for infrastructure automation

• Extensive experience with Hetzner Cloud, Dedicated Servers, and Private Networking/Robot API
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, CNI plugins (Calico/Cilium), and Ingress controllers
• Proficiency with SOPS + Age for encrypting secrets within GitOps workflows (Flux/ArgoCD experience preferred)
• Expert-level Terraform skills with hcloud and cloudflare providers
• Experience handling large-scale NX monorepos and optimizing Node.js build targets
• Understanding of NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend) deployment requirements
• Strong understanding of Cloudflare proxying, SSL management, and DDoS mitigation
• Ability to write custom Python or Bash scripts for infrastructure automation
• Nice to have: iGaming or FinTech industry experience, Postgres CDC/Outbox patterns knowledge, Kafka operations experience, Supabase and ClickHouse scaling expertise
