Senior Platform Engineer

Summary

RemotePass is a G2 Top 100 Fastest Growing Software platform transforming global hiring, onboarding, payroll, and compliance. We seek a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while supporting our ambitious growth initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Develop and deploy microservices and applications using Laravel, Node.js, and Docker
  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable platform infrastructure on AWS
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and automated software delivery
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and implement best practices for application deployment and operations
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with Laravel framework for building web applications
  • Proficiency in Node.js for backend development and API creation
  • In-depth knowledge of Docker for containerization and orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience implementing security best practices and vulnerability management
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC2) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
