Architectural Design Staff
Summary
BRR Architecture is hiring an Architectural Design Staff member to develop design and technical solutions under the direct supervision of an Architect or Project Manager. The role supports the full architectural process by producing design concepts, BIM models, and technical documentation across project phases.
What you'll do
Collaborate with the project team through all phases of architectural design.
Contribute to design development using sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and massing studies.
Participate in schematic design, site selection, and building analysis (scoping).
Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with design intent.
Explore materials, building products, constructability, and processes.
Develop client and peer presentation documents and assist in presentations.
Coordinate and communicate with design team members and other disciplines to ensure details integrate properly.
Assist with building code analysis and systems selections.
Use BIM technologies (e.g., Revit) to develop 3D building models and components.
Support permitting processes and responses to review comments.
Assist with construction contract administration tasks.
Attend project coordination meetings with internal team and external consultants.
Manage time to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and completeness of work.
Promote sustainable design and contribute to studio meetings and events.
Learn and implement studio and BRR standards; perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Professional accredited degree in Architecture.
0 to 3 years of architectural-related experience.
Licensure not required; valid driver’s license required.
Ability to understand and communicate complex functional and aesthetic architectural issues.
Creative and critical thinking with strong graphical communication of concepts.
Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Revit and AutoCAD skills are critical; interest in researching and using technology in architectural applications.
Conditions
Full-time, exempt.
Work performed primarily in an office setting; most work on a computer while seated.
Travel required.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
