Data Engineer

BigD is seeking a proactive Data Engineer to join their vibrant team in the iGaming industry. In this full-time role, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, build a PostgreSQL-based data warehouse, and integrate with APIs and various data sources. Your expertise will directly contribute to the company's growth and success.

• Build and maintain a custom Data Warehouse based on PostgreSQL
• Work with large datasets requiring hourly or daily updates
• Implement DWH components using AWS (S3, Athena), PostgreSQL, and BigQuery
• Collect data from Kafka, Google Analytics, APIs, and third-party applications
• Develop and automate data quality and integrity testing
• Design and support ETL/ELT processes
• Support ML model deployment and saving from other teams
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
• Python development experience with ability to write clean, maintainable, high-performance code
• Advanced SQL query writing and optimization skills with strong PostgreSQL knowledge
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs (Aiohttp, Flask, FastAPI)
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
• Containerization technologies experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Basic knowledge of DBT, Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow
• Strong foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity
• Self-motivated with strong ownership mentality and ability to deliver independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
