Associate Merchant- Men's

Madewell (J.Crew Group) is hiring an Associate Merchant to support and execute seasonal men’s assortments across an omni-channel business. This role partners cross-functionally to analyze sales and trends, manage inventory and pricing actions, and help drive category strategy and profitability.

• Build an on-trend omni-channel assortment with channel-specific strategies.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis; stay current on industry and consumer trends.
• Act as a point person and communicate changes to cross-functional partners (planning, production, design, allocation, wholesale).
• Participate in store visits to gather insights and feedback.
• Prepare and analyze omni selling recaps; recommend actions to optimize current sales and influence future plans.
• Partner with planning pre-season to plan and buy the department using business analysis (prior year results, current performance, and other inputs).
• Support inventory management and control with planning and distribution teams.
• Contribute to pricing and profit strategies, including promotional and markdown recommendations to drive gross margin.
• Review new receipts against business trends to maximize sales and in-stock position.

• 3+ years of merchandising experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated analytical and business skills.
• Strong presentation skills.

• Base salary range stated; may vary by geographic region, skills, and experience; bonus opportunity may be available.
