Merchandise Production Consultant

A24 is engaging an independent contractor to manage the merchandise production process for a popular adult animated television series. The Merchandise Production Consultant will oversee product development, manufacturing, and logistics, operating autonomously to deliver results within agreed timelines.

• Track merchandise through development, sampling, production, and transit; proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Maintain pricing models and track production and freight costs; manage budget-related decisions with discretion.

• Coordinate sample reviews and approvals with stakeholders; escalate issues when appropriate.

• Assist with creation of product pages, SKUs, and barcodes.

• Request, track, and code purchase orders (POs) and invoices for services, samples, materials, and production.

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments with the Brand Operations team.

• Contribute product ideation based on market knowledge (approximately 1–2 hours per week).

• Conduct market research to inform product development decisions (approximately 1–2 hours per week).

• Research and source new vendors and suppliers using an established network.

• Professional experience in merchandise production and project management.

• Established network of trusted vendors and ability to independently source new suppliers.

• Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment without day-to-day supervision.

• Proficiency with project management software and e-commerce/CMS platforms.

• Experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles across diverse product categories.

• Photoshop proficiency (plus).

• Temporary 1099 independent contractor engagement.

• Part-time: 20 hours per week.

• 6-month engagement with possibility of extension as projects expand or continue.

• Target monthly pay: $5,000 USD (starting rate dependent on experience, skills, specializations, and training).
