Assistant Project Manager
Summary
Clark Construction Corporation is a high-end residential construction company based in New York. The Assistant Project Manager supports day-to-day project coordination on active job sites, acting as a central point of communication and control for project activities. The role is designed to provide broad exposure to site operations and build a path toward becoming a Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
What you'll do
Maintain Procore and Newforma systems for overall project documentation and coordination.
Manage project file backups to Dropbox.
Administer job site petty cash.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
Maintain on-site drawing racks and manage shop drawings.
Process and track samples and mockups.
Manage permitting documentation, ensuring postings are current and updated.
Create and maintain submittal schedules and communicate schedule changes to all relevant parties.
Process submittals to and from the architect and distribute approved information to subcontractors.
Assist superintendents with processing DOB logs.
Support site operations as needed (e.g., lunch orders/coffee runs, ensuring laborers have adequate company apparel).
Track accident reports with assistance from the superintendent.
Assist superintendents with drafting RFIs and look-ahead planning documents.
Process work orders and change orders.
Requirements
Ability to work full-time on-site and report daily to designated job site(s).
Project coordination and communication skills to serve as a key point of contact for project activities.
Familiarity with construction project documentation workflows, including submittals, RFIs, permitting, and change orders.
Experience or comfort using tools such as Procore, Newforma, and Dropbox for project administration.
Conditions
Full-time, on-site role with daily reporting to assigned job site(s).
Working hours determined by specific building/job site requirements.
Remote work is generally not permitted; exceptions may be considered with at least two weeks’ notice and supervisor approval, with HR and the Chief of Operations informed if granted.
