Art Director Creative Services - TEMP
Summary
PUMA Group is seeking a temporary Art Director to join Creative Services, its internal creative agency, based out of the Boston office. The role focuses on visual storytelling across digital, video, and multi-channel marketing content to deliver full-funnel creative campaigns for the brand.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director, planners, content creators, and business units to concept high- and low-production campaigns.
- Execute creative across marketing channels (PR, social, paid media, e-commerce, in-store, and more) aligned to full-funnel creative direction.
- Contribute as a leading voice in internal and cross-departmental brainstorming sessions.
- Review and align briefs with Creative Services senior management for campaigns and communications initiatives.
- Lead creative productions by identifying, selecting, and briefing external partners (photographers, illustrators, animators, production companies, independent creators).
- Plan and execute photoshoots and other productions in coordination with leadership and producers, including liaison with external partners.
- Guide external partners through concept development and production execution.
- Oversee creation of clear, in-depth creative guidelines to support regional execution of global concepts.
- Provide feedback on e-commerce designs and other final assets.
- Support post-production processes including asset selection and retouching oversight.
- Lead within Creative Services and develop junior team members through guidance and mentorship.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and/or a relevant field.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Strong digital focus with high proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat (Mac environment).
Ability to create proofs of concept for still photography and moving imagery (e.g., GIFs and video content).
Top-tier design skills with working knowledge of digital design.
Ability to drive projects through concept ideation, design development, and pre- and post-production.
Thorough understanding of creative process, color theory, typography, interactive/digital design, and video storytelling.
Exceptional presentation skills; ability to work with senior management to brainstorm, design, and strategize marketing executions.
Extensive experience directing studio and location photo shoots under time-sensitive conditions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within diverse teams.
Leadership ability to manage, motivate, and mentor others.
Experience in footwear, athletic, and/or apparel industry is a plus.

Base pay hiring range listed as $74,500–$101,120 annually; pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
