Summary
Principle is an AI-powered strategic foresight platform seeking a part-time Strategy Analyst to validate AI simulation outputs and support client engagements in energy, oil & gas, and other industries. The role focuses on Ukrainian clients initially, with potential to scale globally, working alongside a technical team that builds digital twins for stress-testing corporate strategy.
What you'll do
- Validate AI simulation results against real market data and financial information, serving as the reality check between platform outputs and client needs
- Build financial models from scratch that connect to the simulation platform, including scenario analysis, stress-testing, and forecasting
- Audit available data on the client side to determine what exists, what's missing, reliability, and what requires additional verification
- Conduct market sizing, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking for active engagements
- Source and structure Ukrainian market data that is difficult to find compared to US/EU sources
- Quality assure models and deliverables for accuracy and industry relevance before client delivery
- Prepare client-facing materials including presentations, analytical memos, and executive summaries
Requirements
- Domain experience in energy, oil & gas, commodities, chemicals, manufacturing, or retail with understanding of industry specifics and key metrics
- 2+ years at a Big Four firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) in consulting, audit, transaction advisory, strategy consultancy, or analytical/financial corporate role
- Strong financial modeling skills with ability to build models from scratch in Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience structuring and presenting data for senior executives
- Comfortable working with large, unstructured datasets and extracting insights
- Ability to work independently with project context provided
- Fluent English at B2+ level; Ukrainian language required
- Preferred: M&A due diligence, transaction advisory or corporate development experience; market sizing and competitive benchmarking; familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor); scenario planning or simulation experience; startup or fast-moving team background; accounting or audit background
Conditions
- Part-time contract: 10-20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule with hours scalable as client engagements grow
- Hourly rate discussed individually based on experience
- Potential to scale hours or convert to ongoing retainer arrangement
