Summary
Equitas Academy Charter Schools serves over 2,000 students across seven schools in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles. The Enrollment Seasonal Recruiter (temporary, part-time) increases community visibility and supports recruitment and enrollment efforts. The role partners with the enrollment team to drive outreach, follow-ups, and family engagement.
What you'll do
- Answer parent phone calls/messages and provide general reception support.
- Support brand awareness and recruitment campaigns in the Pico-Union community.
- Collect and enter information into administrative databases.
- Execute weekly phone banking and grassroots canvassing.
- Follow up with prospective families promptly and professionally.
- Support school sites with engagement and retention activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Languages: Bilingual English and Korean (required); excellent verbal and written communication in both languages.
Skills: Customer service orientation; inclusive, collaborative approach; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; reflective and open to feedback.
Tools: Proficient with Google Suite for Education.
Physical: Able to walk throughout the community for extended periods for canvassing.
Compliance: Criminal clearance including fingerprints and TB test.
Mission fit: Strong commitment to preparing scholars to attend and graduate from four-year colleges and universities.
Conditions
Type: Temporary, part-time.
Schedule: 5–10 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks.
Pay: $21/hour.
Work: Regular in-community recruitment activities, plus registration follow-ups and school site engagement/retention support.
