Summary
Netflix is seeking a Talent, Event, & LIVE Security (TELSec) Intern for Summer 2026 within the Content Operations & Innovation organization. The intern will support security services for Netflix original productions, public-facing events, and talent-driven experiences by helping plan and execute proactive security operations. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to entertainment security while balancing risk mitigation with seamless creative execution.
What you'll do
- Assist in developing event security plans for Netflix events, premieres, and talent-driven experiences by conducting research, creating documentation, and coordinating logistics.
- Shadow senior team members during risk assessments and contribute to evaluating potential security concerns for events and productions.
- Collaborate with Content Security, Production, Marketing, Publicity, and Events teams to understand how security supports creative and operational goals.
- Research emerging security technologies, industry best practices, and relevant case studies to support continuous improvement.
- Help coordinate external security vendors and support partner relationship management.
- Observe and support on-site security operations at select events as schedule and projects allow.
- Create post-event reports, track metrics, and document lessons learned to improve future security operations.
- Support monitoring of relevant threat intelligence and situational awareness for upcoming events.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with expected graduation in Spring/Summer 2027.
- Strong interest in security, risk management, emergency management, event operations, or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn from cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for event support.
- Nice to have: coursework/projects in security studies, emergency management, criminal justice, risk management, or event management.
- Nice to have: prior internship/volunteer experience in event operations, security, or logistics.
- Nice to have: interest in or knowledge of the entertainment industry.
- Nice to have: experience with project management tools or security-related software.
- Nice to have: additional language skills beyond English.
Conditions
- Paid summer internship, minimum 10 weeks.
- Start dates in June (a couple of fixed options to accommodate school calendars).
- Location: New York City office (conditions permitting).
- Compensation range stated as $20/hour to $40/hour (varies by factors including location and education).
