Senior Product Manager (Billing and Payments)

MacPaw is a software company with 20 million active users developing applications for macOS and iOS. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the billing domain end-to-end for the Setapp Marketplace platform. This is a strategic role that directly impacts revenue, vendor satisfaction, and global expansion.

Billing Vision & Strategy: Define billing strategy and drive product decisions impacting platform margin, vendor economics, and customer experience across multiple markets.

Advanced Discovery & Research: Own discovery phase, hypothesis validation, user research, competitor and market analysis, and create detailed PRDs with continuous cross-functional support.

Strategic Roadmap Prioritization: Coordinate billing domain roadmaps across teams, collaborating with Revenue Growth Team on onboarding, monetization, and funnel conversion initiatives.

Lifecycle & Outcome Ownership: Own end-to-end product lifecycle, accountability for outcomes, value delivery, and post-launch success through data analysis.

Cross-functional Enablement: Support other product teams with billing capabilities, collaborate with Legal on compliance and vendor agreements, partner with Growth on monetization initiatives.

Required:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience with strong technical expertise
• Strong understanding of subscription and marketplace billing models
• Proven experience with international payment systems and global billing infrastructures
• Understanding of international payment providers, tax and compliance frameworks
• Hands-on experience in European and US markets (mandatory)
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
• Comfortable with fee calculations, payout modelling, and unit economics
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills

As a plus:

• Familiarity with payment platform products
• Experience rebuilding or migrating billing systems
• Experience in Asian markets

Reports directly to Head of Product. Work alongside experienced Engineering team, dedicated Growth Manager, and cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal, Design and Marketing. This is a strategic, non-supporting role at the core of platform operations.
