Middle C++ Engineer

GlobalLogic is seeking a Middle C++ Engineer to design and implement network-oriented applications for Harmonic's Cable Access products. The role focuses on developing software-based CCAP solutions and cloud-native CMTS as part of the innovative CableOS project.

• Design and implement network-oriented applications for Linux userspace with emphasis on generic design, memory, and processing considerations
• Design and implement new modules and features while evolving existing ones
• Integrate with hardware components and communicate with vendors regarding integration processes and issues
• Collaborate regularly with remote and international teams
• Participate in development, manual and automated testing, and solution integration at customer headends
• Provide 24/7 technical support and professional services to customers

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong knowledge and experience in C and C++
• Knowledge and experience in multithreading
• OOP knowledge
• Experience programming under Linux or Unix-like systems
• Yocto ecosystem experience (a plus)
• Understanding of networking stack and protocols including OSI model, L1-L4 (a plus)
• Shell script and Python knowledge (a plus)
• Familiarity with STL, Boost.asio, Protobuf, and ZMQ (a plus)
