The HR Shared Services Consultant supports a thoughtful, effective employee experience by providing analytical support, operational oversight, and process improvements across the full employee lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies across the employee lifecycle (hire to retire) and recommend standardization and process improvements.
- Partner with employees, managers, and internal teams (HRBPs, Recruiting, Compensation, L&D, Legal, IT) to provide guidance on HR processes and systems.
- Own Tier II specialized support for Shared Services programs (e.g., immigration, unemployment) and handle complex employee issues while maintaining data integrity in Workday and other systems.
- Drive improvements to shared services tools and systems, including leveraging emerging and cutting-edge technologies to automate workflows and enhance self-service.
- Administer the FreshService ticketing system and related tools supporting metrics and reporting.
- Use captured data to produce monthly and quarterly insights for internal customers and the People team to inform decisions and process/vendor enhancements.
- Research and stay current on local employment laws and best practices; ensure policies are compliant.
- Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and revision of compliance processes, audit standards, and related improvements using new tools and technology.
- Maintain vendor relationships and provide recommendations to Shared Services leadership to increase efficiency and improve user experience.
- Participate in ad hoc projects supporting broader People programs with cross-functional partners (Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, HRBPs, IT).
Requirements
- 2-4 years of HR experience in a people-focused role or HR operations/shared services environment.
- Bachelor or Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze and synthesize metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the company.
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Suite; experience with HRIS (including Workday) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Adaptability, initiative, and ability to work independently and proactively.
Conditions
Compensation: competitive salary with a stated US range of $58,900-$98,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
