Junior NodeJS Backend Developer

DBB Software is a Ukrainian software engineering company with 8 years of experience delivering IT solutions to clients across Europe, USA, and Canada. We are seeking a Junior Backend Developer (Node.js) to join our growing team in Dnipro and contribute to innovative software projects.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript
Work with Express and NestJS frameworks
Design and implement REST APIs with proper documentation using Swagger
Manage SQL and non-relational databases
Implement logging and security best practices
Optimize application performance and diagnose performance issues
Collaborate with team members using Git and CI/CD pipelines
Communicate effectively with peers on project status and technical decisions
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and NestJS
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and preferably MERN stack and Next.js
- Experience with Swagger and API documentation tools
- Experience with Git and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of logging and security concepts
- Solid understanding of REST and core JavaScript concepts
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational data models
- Experience diagnosing and preventing performance and optimization problems
- English level: at least Intermediate
- Effective communication and consensus-building skills
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong sense of ownership
- Self-motivated and self-managing with great organizational skills
