Paralegal
Summary
ClassWallet is a U.S.-based financial technology company that helps public agencies distribute and control the use of public funds through its digital wallet platform. The Paralegal will support the legal team by managing contract and document processes, coordinating execution, and assisting with day-to-day legal operations in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
Administer the LinkSquares CLM platform, including managing user access, permissions, and workflows.
Manage the contract template review cycle by reminding attorneys to update templates based on legal and business changes.
Keep LinkSquares contract templates current and aligned with company policies, including uploading new or revised templates at least annually.
Support internal teams with LinkSquares questions, provide user training, and troubleshoot basic issues.
Proofread and edit legal documents (e.g., contracts, policies, corporate resolutions, internal memoranda) for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and adherence to standards.
Organize, file, and maintain physical and electronic legal documents and records in compliance with retention policies.
Coordinate end-to-end document execution, including obtaining and tracking internal and external signatures.
Maintain a centralized log and status tracking for agreements requiring signature and fully executed documents.
Serve as an initial point of contact for basic legal questions, escalating complex matters to in-house counsel as needed.
Perform an initial pass of vendor reviews by checking standard vendor contracts for completeness and flagging key issues for attorney review.
Assist with preparing standard legal correspondence, forms, and reports.
Conduct basic legal research and factual investigations as requested by the legal team.
Requirements
Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
1–3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department (technology or FinTech experience is a plus).
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with document management and e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign).
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Hands-on proficiency with LinkSquares CLM is highly preferred (template management, user support, workflow administration).
Conditions
Reports to the Director of Contracting and Legal Operations and supports the broader legal department, including the Chief Legal Counsel.
