Summary
Pax Recruiting is hiring an Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff to support the Founder of a world-class design-build firm and several related ventures, including a product-based business and land/ranch operations. The role acts as a strategic operator and force multiplier, turning priorities into execution across multiple business lines. You will bring structure to ambiguity while representing the Founder with polish, discretion, and resilience.
What you'll do
- Partner with the Founder to identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives across multiple businesses.
- Translate high-level ideas into clear plans, timelines, owners, and ensure follow-through.
- Oversee and coordinate projects across Landwest, product-based ventures, and land/ranch operations.
- Ensure alignment across internal teams and external partners; manage overlapping priorities, deadlines, and dependencies.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and logistics to keep work moving efficiently.
- Anticipate conflicts, bottlenecks, and gaps; proactively solve issues and protect the Founder’s time for high-impact work.
- Support high-level client and stakeholder relationships; manage communications and follow-up to a high standard.
- Own complex, cross-functional special projects with limited direction in fast-moving environments.
- Handle sensitive issues with discretion, patience, and sound judgment.
- Help identify where additional support or structure is needed and assist in shaping it over time.
Requirements
Background and traits:
- Strong business background and experience working closely with senior leaders or founders.
- Unflappable, resilient, and able to absorb pressure without escalating it.
- Strong judgment, professional presence, and ability to read people and situations quickly.
- Self-starter who takes ownership; organized but flexible and adaptable with imperfect information.
Experience and skills:
- Experience in Executive Assistant, operations, strategy, consulting, business, finance, or senior leadership support roles (preferred).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple business lines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; polished, confident, discreet.
