Digital Product Design/UX Intern

Barstool Sports is seeking a Digital Product Design/UX Intern to support user-centered digital experiences across its web and mobile platforms. The intern will collaborate with product, engineering, and content teams while gaining hands-on exposure to the end-to-end product development process.

• Support UX design work for web and mobile products, including internal CMS tools and consumer-facing platforms (e.g., barstoolsports.com, Barstool Sports App, Shopify merch store, brand sites).
• Create and assist with wireframes, user flows, and prototypes using Figma (or similar tools).
• Conduct and support user research, competitive analysis, and usability reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure accurate design implementation.
• Help maintain and organize design system components and UI assets with senior designers.
• Identify opportunities to improve user journeys and overall usability.
• Observe and assist with A/B testing efforts and basic performance tracking.
• Stay current on digital product trends, UX best practices, and emerging design tools.

• Rising Junior or Rising Senior pursuing a degree in Design, UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Coursework, academic projects, or personal work related to UX/UI or digital product design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design and UI/UX work (e.g., wireframes/prototypes) and showing decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of usability principles and user-centered design.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Curiosity to understand the rationale behind work; interest in sports/media/entertainment/digital culture is a plus.

• Location:

  100% based in the New York office

• Pay rate:

  $17.00/hr
