People Business Partner (100% Remote)
Summary
ClearCaptions provides near real-time phone captioning technology to help seniors and people who are hard-of-hearing stay connected. The People Business Partner is a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, supporting execution of the People strategy and strengthening leadership capability within assigned business areas. The role focuses on employee experience, talent management, engagement, and organizational alignment in a people-first, remote environment.
What you'll do
Partner with leaders to execute people strategy aligned to team and business unit objectives, supporting a high-performing and values-aligned workforce.
Manage employee relations matters including performance coaching, investigations, conflict resolution, and end-to-end case tracking; escalate critical cases as needed.
Conduct and coordinate complex or critical investigations; document findings and provide recommendations in a timely, objective manner.
Facilitate people programs such as goal setting, performance evaluations, engagement initiatives, and employee recognition.
Coach leaders on team effectiveness, employee development, strengths-based management, and engagement practices.
Collaborate with People Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) to deliver consistent HR solutions.
Interpret and apply company policies, labor laws, and employment practices to ensure compliance and fairness.
Track, analyze, and report people metrics; support ad hoc reporting and workforce analysis.
Participate in or lead smaller HR projects/pilots and support broader change initiatives.
Embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in day-to-day interactions and processes.
Manage exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and recommend retention and engagement improvements.
Provide guidance and training to managers on performance standards and quality evaluations that drive performance and career potential.
Perform other duties as assigned to support business and People team priorities.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred.
5–7 years of relevant experience in a People Business Partner (HRBP) role.
Experience supporting remote workforces in a multi-state environment (required).
Preferred experience supporting contact/service center populations and/or warehouse facilities.
Experience building and leading HR programs, projects, and teams.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred) and Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification preferred.
Experience across employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compensation practices.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
Strong coaching, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills for day-to-day workplace issues.
Strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills to identify trends and develop solutions.
Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to build rapport with mid-level leaders and employees.
Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative, results-driven team orientation.
Authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.
Conditions
100% remote / work from home; home office environment.
Reports to Manager, People Business Partners.
Occasional overnight travel up to 10% and flexibility in hours as needed.
Salary range stated as $90,000–$100,000 annually (monthly equivalent provided in salary field).
