They are hiring a Video Editor to create high-quality edits while supporting post-production workflows and bridging collaboration between the LA and Sydney teams.
What you'll do
- Create narratively, aesthetically, and technically strong edits for a wide range of projects.
- Make editing decisions based on scripts and input from internal producers and external clients.
- Independently assemble footage into cohesive stories and refine scenes with producers and editors.
- Collaborate across teams including producers, editors, motion designers, and sound.
- Produce cut-downs, assemblies, and final polished edits across multiple durations and formats.
- Manage edit revisions with strong attention to detail and coordinate milestones across multiple assignments.
- Maintain clear communication between production and editing environments and contribute ideas to project development.
- Adopt emerging technology to improve Entropico’s creative process.
- Ingest footage, create proxies, and sync video/audio after shoots.
- Prep edits for color grading, animation, and sound mixing; online, resize, and master final outputs.
- Keep projects clean, organized, and ready for handovers; follow internal templates and workflows.
- Support hard drive/data management systems and the archival process.
Requirements
Experience: 2+ years editing a wide range of projects (e.g., hype/sizzle videos, TV commercials, social assets, longer-form scripted content).
Software: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Workflow knowledge: Understanding of offline-to-online workflows, including grade prep and onlining.
Technical skills: Ability to ingest, sync, and organize footage from multiple formats, codecs, and camera sources.
Editing skills: Experience assembling footage and revising edits.
Problem-solving: Troubleshooting ability and initiative for creative and technical challenges.
Nice to have: Archiving completed projects and experience with cloud storage platforms.
Professional skills: Excellent attention to detail, time management, and confident communication (verbal, nonverbal, online).
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Conditions
Location: Based in the Glassell Park / Cypress Park office.
Role focus: Approximate 60/40 split between Editing and Post-Production Support.
