Senior Scala/Java developer (BigData is a plus)

US Company seeking a Senior Scala/Java developer with BigData expertise to join a distributed development team building an enterprise-level SaaS platform. The platform serves high-risk industries with solutions for safety, sustainability, and productivity management including incident tracking, monitoring, and analytics.

• Build and maintain applications using Scala/Java
• Work with Spark and Delta Lake for big data processing
• Develop ETL pipelines including data ingestion, transformation, and reporting
• Implement data streaming and data lake solutions
• Collaborate with 5-7 team members in a Scrum-based development approach
• Participate in technical discussions with team leads and architects

• Proven experience building applications with Scala/Java
• Hands-on experience with Spark and Delta Lake
• Strong understanding of Big Data concepts including Data Lake and Data Streaming
• Experience with multithreading in cloud computing environments
• ETL processing expertise (data ingestion, transformation, reporting)
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Plus: Experience with Akka Framework and Actor Systems

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), flexible schedule with CET business hours

Location: Remote work, distributed team
