Human Resources Generalist
Summary
Haystack is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for a North America industrial distribution and logistics organization with a long-standing, stable operation. This role partners with leadership to manage the talent lifecycle, employee relations, compliance, and HR analytics using modern systems such as Workday. The purpose is to strengthen hiring, engagement, and compliant HR practices in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Orchestrate full-cycle onboarding and selection in collaboration with hiring managers to secure top-tier talent.
- Serve as subject matter expert for leave administration, including FMLA, short-term disability, and complex workers’ compensation cases.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and represent the employer brand at community activities and job fairs.
- Analyze workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support leadership decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while overseeing workplace policy and conduct reviews.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years as an HR Generalist, preferably in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Systems: Deep knowledge of HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday experience is a major advantage.
Tools: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to use data for reporting and trend analysis.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Skills: Expert communication skills with a high-touch customer service and employee relations focus.
