Infrastructure Engineer (LATAM Time-zone)

Chainstack is a leading Web3 infrastructure platform connecting developers with blockchain services across DeFi, NFT, gaming, and analytics. We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to ensure our production systems operate seamlessly while managing incidents and scaling our global infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure with a focus on reliability, automation, and system optimization.

• Maintain and continuously improve the reliability and scalability of services with 2.5-hour daily on-call rotation and 1 paid weekend on-call per month
• Develop and manage complex hybrid infrastructure with multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters using Infrastructure as Code approach
• Manage incidents and participate in on-call rotation
• Improve monitoring and alerting systems across the platform
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement both immediate workarounds and long-term solutions
• Automate repetitive processes to reduce manual workload
• Plan, design, and execute infrastructure solutions aligned with team goals
• Improve documentation and knowledge sharing across the team

• Experience operating mission-critical services with responsibility for reliability, uptime, and SLA
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification required
• Production experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc.)
• Infrastructure automation tools expertise (Helm, Terraform, Ansible)
• Monitoring solutions experience (Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, BetterUptime)
• Public cloud provider experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Programming skills in Python and/or Go
• RDBMS experience
• Systems thinking with understanding of edge cases, failure modes, and implementations
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting
• Strong documentation practices and intellectual drive for learning blockchain technologies
