Vend Park

Head of Finance

Remote Lead $7.9k–$15.6k/moest.

Summary

Vend Park is building AI-powered digital infrastructure for commercial real estate parking operations, using automation, data, and agentic AI to modernize a historically analog system. The Head of Finance will take a founder-led finance function and build scalable finance operations, treasury, and reporting to support growth from Series A onward. This role partners closely with founders/COO to ensure trustworthy partner payments, strong unit economics, and clear board-level financial storytelling.

What you'll do

  • Own and continuously improve the “Payment to Owners” process, ensuring accurate, on-time partner settlements with a zero-defect mindset (test deposits, verify accuracy, and validate before funds are released).

  • Project-manage migration of banking infrastructure to Stripe and ensure seamless transitions for all capital flows.

  • Implement rigorous cash discipline, including approval workflows for AP/AR and efficient cash burn management.

  • Manage lender relationships, debt facilities, loan covenants, and broader treasury management strategy.

  • Lead board preparation and translate financial results into clear narratives and strategic insights for leadership and investors.

  • Oversee client reporting and transparency by managing the team delivering reports/statements and ensuring fast, accurate responses to client questions.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to define and drive product requirements that automate financial flows and embed finance into the software platform.

  • Manage, mentor, and grow Billing and Reporting teams as a player-coach, setting high standards and developing talent.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to build and scale finance operations and infrastructure beyond basic bookkeeping, including ownership of unit economics and operational finance.

  • Experience with treasury functions, banking relationships, and managing debt facilities and loan covenants.

  • Strong financial reporting and board communication skills, with the ability to turn financials into strategic narratives.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in settlements, wires, billing, and reporting processes.

  • Tech-forward mindset; comfortable adopting modern tools (including AI/GPT) to audit, confirm data, and speed workflows.

  • Leadership experience managing and developing teams (billing/reporting) in a high-ownership environment.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering/Product to automate and improve finance workflows.

Conditions

  • Flexible work environment: work from home, from the Boston HQ, or wherever you’re most productive; supports flexible schedules and hybrid setups.

  • Comprehensive health plans: medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Unlimited PTO.

  • Learning and development support (conferences, certifications, professional development resources).

  • Team connection: quarterly retreats, team outings, and virtual hangouts.

  • Generous paid parental leave.

  • 401(k) with company match.
