REMOTE - HR Representative
Summary
Ross Stores, Inc. (promoted by Lensa) is hiring an HR Representative to support associates during Leave of Absence (LOA) processes. The role focuses on administering LOA cases, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and delivering a high-quality customer service experience.
What you'll do
Process LOA transactions using ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Sedgwick ViaOne, case management tools, and Excel (e.g., uploads, data entry, approvals/denials, benefit elections, adjustments/corrections).
Respond to associate inquiries and manage communications via phone, email, LOA inbox, and LOA voicemail line.
Generate new cases, letters, and reports (e.g., benefit payment/exhaust communications) and maintain accurate case documentation/notes.
Coordinate with internal partners and vendors (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, HR Services) to support smooth leave administration and resolve issues.
Explain Ross LOA policies and applicable state/federal guidelines to associates across stores, corporate, buying offices, and distribution centers.
Gather and provide critical data for compliance efforts, legal matters, and legal holds support as needed.
Provide reporting to track and monitor departmental work.
Cross-train, provide backup support for LOA team members, and assist with process improvements and/or training evaluation as needed.
Stay current on company training and updates to state/federal guidelines impacting leave administration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Preferred: LOA administration experience and knowledge of federal and state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, pregnancy-related leave, military leave).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and apply judgment to complex and sensitive issues.
High attention to detail and accuracy; ability to learn, ask questions, and use online systems and databases.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft.
Familiarity with HR systems and benefits/payroll practices.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Conditions
Remote role (United States); cannot be performed in the State of Colorado or in New York City.
Pay range listed: $22.69–$32.79 per hour (actual pay depends on experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and location).
Office/computer-based work; requires sitting/standing/walking, telephone communication, typing, and attending in-person and remote meetings.
