SVP, Operations

MountainOne/Mechanics Cooperative (combined ~$1.9B in assets) is building a scalable mutual holding company following the merger of their parent companies effective 1/1/26. The SVP, Operations will lead enterprise operations functions and drive integration of loan operations, deposit operations, and eBanking across both banks to establish a unified operating foundation that supports future growth.

• Oversee loan operations, deposit operations, eServices, and related shared services functions.
• Lead the operational integration of MountainOne Bank and Mechanics Cooperative Bank across teams, processes, and platforms.
• Evaluate existing systems and workflows and drive standardization and operational excellence.
• Enhance digital capabilities and core platforms in support of scalable growth.
• Serve as the primary liaison with key vendors and manage critical vendor relationships.
• Partner with senior leadership; provide visible executive leadership and present updates and recommendations to the Board.
• Mentor, develop, and strengthen operational talent to build the next generation of leaders.

• Significant senior-level experience overseeing bank operations, including loan operations and deposit operations, within a community or regional banking environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex operational integration efforts across multiple teams and functions.
• Experience navigating mergers, conversions, or complex system integrations (strongly preferred).
• Process-driven approach to operational excellence with strong attention to detail and the ability to operate strategically at the executive level.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including vendor management and comfort presenting to senior leadership and the Board.

• Ideally based in North Adams with regular presence in Taunton.
• Candidates based in Taunton are expected to spend meaningful time in North Adams to support integration efforts and team leadership.
