Summary

KidStrong Paradise Valley is a private child development training center that helps parents raise stronger, smarter, and more confident kids through a science-based curriculum. The Childrens Coach leads classes for children ages ~12 months to 11 years old, delivering brain, physical, and character development programming and engaging with parents to explain the curriculum.

What you'll do

  • Coach group classes (typically 6–15 children) across age groups from ~12 months to 11 years old.
  • Teach and execute the KidStrong monthly curriculum provided by HQ.
  • Ensure classes start/end on time and maintain the appropriate pace and flow.
  • Greet students and parents/guardians individually before and at the beginning of class.
  • Lead sessions with a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate exercises and manage safe, correct implementation of movements.
  • Work hands-on with kids to support proper technique and ensure safety.
  • Assist parents of students ages three and younger with class direction and flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the center (lobby, bathrooms, floors), including trash removal, sweeping/mopping, wiping equipment, and sanitizing mats.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data (e.g., attendance, awards) and provide records for parents.
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers via Slack, including periodic message checks when not in the center.
  • Complete required training through FranConnect and obtain certified status via HQ Training and Certification.
  • Attend monthly staff programming meetings and additional mandatory meetings as required by the Director.
  • Learn and help manage Coach KidStrong Academy sessions held during school breaks.
  • Optionally increase hours through private party coaching as available.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with children.
  • Athletic or coaching experience; experience coaching kids ages ~12 months to 11 years old preferred.
  • Comfortable speaking with and educating parents/guardians about the curriculum and its purpose.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certification.
  • Positive, motivating interpersonal communication skills and comfort leading in front of groups.
  • Self-starter mindset.
  • Ability to work in a physically intensive environment, including moving throughout shifts and lifting/moving equipment up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
  • Prior pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus (not required).

Conditions

  • Location: KidStrong Paradise Valley studio.
  • Schedule: classes typically run weekdays 9am–11am and evenings until 7pm; weekends typically 8am through lunch/noon.
  • Part-time or full-time options with flexible scheduling based on studio needs.
  • Compensation listed as $18.00–$23.00 per hour.
