Summary
3Shape is seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Data Engineer to join their Product Management team in Kyiv. In this analytics-first role, you will transform data into actionable insights that drive informed product and business decisions, collaborating with data engineering, product management, and R&D teams.
What you'll do
- Drive analytical work with Product Management and Data Engineering: clarify questions, define metrics, and deliver decision-ready insights
- Perform deep-dive analyses on product usage and operational performance including segmentation, trends, anomaly detection, and behavioral pattern analysis
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Databricks Dashboards to support fast decision-making
- Create data extracts and curated analytical datasets for ad-hoc analysis and stakeholder self-service
- Define, align, and maintain metric definitions as a single source of truth with clear assumptions, logic, and interpretation guidelines
- Validate usage and business data, identify inconsistencies, and resolve tracking issues
- Define and adapt data collection strategies across products in collaboration with R&D and Product teams
- Apply advanced analytical techniques including forecasting and AI-assisted analysis
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Developers on data availability and reliability
Requirements
- Strong analytical mindset with bias for clarity and actionable conclusions
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and performance-aware querying
- Proven experience delivering insights from product, usage, and operational data
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations, preferably with Databricks
- Solid understanding of data quality practices including validation and reconciliation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with data storytelling abilities
- Detail-oriented approach with high standards for data accuracy
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-changing environment and deliver with short lead times
- Experience with Power BI (strong plus)
- Python for data analysis (strong plus)
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional thinking, metric layers)
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT and modern data platforms
- Experience or interest in data science techniques and AI/ML models (nice to have)
