Executive Assistant
Summary
The Walt Disney Studios is hiring an Executive Assistant to support the SVP, Communications within a fast-paced studio communications group. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, supports internal and external communications efforts, and serves as a key liaison across studio teams and senior leadership.
What you'll do
Handle inbound phone calls and media inquiries.
Manage a complex, high-volume calendar, including preparation time, travel time, and focus blocks.
Anticipate executive priorities, balance competing demands, and adapt to last-minute changes.
Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats.
Work closely with senior leaders and their teams using strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
Manage extremely confidential and sensitive information.
Book multi-city travel itineraries and prepare briefing documents, accounting for time zones and potential disruptions.
Assist with news monitoring/reporting and track breaking news.
Help keep external-facing sites, including The Walt Disney Studios press site, current.
Manage expense reports, subscription accounts/renewals, vendor contracts, and payments.
Remain reachable after hours and on weekends when important issues arise.
Requirements
5+ years supporting a Vice President or above (or equivalent experience).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines and deliverables.
Proficiency with computers, phones, and office equipment; mastery of Microsoft Office, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and Windows environment.
Calm under pressure and able to handle unexpected situations.
High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust and strong working relationships.
Complete reliability handling confidential, highly sensitive information.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred: experience at The Walt Disney Company.
Conditions
Location: Burbank.
40-hour work week stated; hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs.
Must have schedule flexibility with availability on some evenings and weekends; reachable after hours/weekends as needed.
Compensation may include bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
