Summary

Make (letsmake.com) is an AI-first design and engineering agency based in Texas with a global team, known for award-winning software used by billions of people. The Designer role focuses on shaping large-scale software experiences, turning ideas into production-ready designs that engineers can build confidently. You will partner closely with clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver clear, actionable design direction across multiple projects.

What you'll do

  • Lead client and stakeholder design review meetings; document decisions and ensure outcomes are actionable.
  • Gather requirements from clients and internal teams and translate them into clear design deliverables.
  • Create product and interface designs that support engineering teams in building production-ready features.
  • Deliver design assets and clarifications on time to prevent engineering blockers.
  • Manage design scope, tasks, and deliverables across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Communicate proactively with engineers, delivery teams, and clients to clarify requirements and reduce ambiguity.
  • Identify design risks or issues early and escalate when necessary.
  • Integrate AI tools into the design workflow to accelerate research, ideation, and iteration.
  • Maintain organized documentation and task tracking to support engineering execution.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with Figma for product and interface design.
  • Familiarity with Cursor or similar AI-enabled tools used in software development workflows.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to articulate design decisions and gather requirements.
  • Experience designing real software products that shipped to production.
  • Ability to conduct client-facing design reviews and presentations.
  • Ability to extract information from clients/stakeholders and translate it into actionable design direction.
  • Strong organizational and task management skills across multiple projects.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and delivery teams.
  • Ability to manage agendas, deadlines, and meetings effectively.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Nice to have:

    • Interaction design experience.
    • Motion design experience.

Conditions

  • Location: Remote (work from anywhere).
  • Time zone: Ability to overlap 2–5 hours with Central Time (CT).
