Software developer (PHP)

WhiteBIT is a global fintech company with over 1,200 professionals transforming the Web3 era by making blockchain accessible to everyone. We are seeking a Software Developer (PHP) to join our team and help shape innovative solutions for our blockchain platform serving 8 million users worldwide.

• Advanced Technical Execution: Independently deliver complete features from system design to deployment, handle complex features requiring cross-component integration, and mentor junior team members
• Technical Problem Solving: Debug and resolve complex issues across multiple system components, investigate and fix production issues, and provide root cause analysis
• Feature Ownership: Act as technical owner for specific product features, define and monitor feature-specific metrics, and ensure feature quality through comprehensive testing
• Team Collaboration: Mentor Middle engineers through code reviews and pair programming, participate in technical design discussions, and contribute to sprint planning
• Technical Growth: Propose improvements to development practices, experiment with new technologies, and help establish team standards
• Delivery Excellence: Ensure on-time delivery of features, communicate technical risks proactively, and coordinate with QA and Product teams

• 5+ years of commercial experience with PHP
• Excellent coding skills with strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practices
• Proficient in writing maintainable unit tests with understanding of test strategy, mocking, and code coverage tools
• Advanced SQL skills with ability to optimize queries and work with both relational and NoSQL databases (Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Ability to write and maintain Docker images and Docker Compose
• Excellent Git knowledge including branching strategies and collaboration workflows
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, proficient with HTTP protocol and OpenAPI/Swagger
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10, JWT, OAuth2, encryption, and secure data handling
• Confident working in Linux/Unix environments
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Plus: Golang experience, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, fintech or crypto experience, understanding of trading systems and blockchain basics
