Summary

KREWE is an independent high-fashion eyewear brand founded in 2013, headquartered in New Orleans with an additional HQ in New York City, operating across boutiques, mobile retail, e-commerce, and wholesale distribution.

The VP, Operations will build and lead end-to-end operational strategy and execution across supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service to enable rapid, profitable growth and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Define and prioritize operational initiatives with a roadmap and timeline to achieve 2026 goals and support scalable growth into 2027+.

  • Optimize and redesign the end-to-end omni-channel order lifecycle across DTC e-commerce, retail, and wholesale (including BOPIS, ship-from-store, store-to-home, EDI, and 3PL integrations) to improve speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

  • Build an agile PMO and governance model (intake, prioritization, resourcing, stage-gates, post-mortems) with clear RACI for cross-functional programs.

  • Establish a single source of truth for operational KPIs and partner with Finance/FP&A to design and optimize leadership dashboards.

  • Develop warehousing and logistics strategy (owned facilities and/or 3PL), including slotting, flow, transportation, WMS best practices, and performance SLAs.

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a lean, high-performing operations organization with scalable roles, metrics, and career paths.

  • Lead change management through SOPs, training, and communications to drive adoption of new processes and ways of working.

  • Design and operationalize a best-in-class, multi-channel customer service model with SLAs and VOC feedback loops.

  • Own the operations budget and drive cost reduction through vendor negotiations, supply management, and operational efficiencies.

  • Strengthen operational controls across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay, including inventory accuracy, audit trails, access controls, backups, and vendor management.

  • Publish and manage a 12–18 month operations roadmap with business cases and resourcing; track progress through weekly/monthly reviews and QBRs.

  • Own performance management for operations (e.g., OTIF, fill rate, inventory accuracy, cycle count variance, order lead time, WISMO contacts per order, logistics cost per unit, NPS/CSAT, defect rates).

  • Ensure brand ethos and core values are reflected in operational touchpoints and external/internal partnerships while scaling operations modernly.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within consumer or retail brands (preference for omni-channel DTC e-commerce with wholesale and/or retail).

  • Hands-on expertise in S&OP/IBP, demand and supply planning, merchandising and allocation, inventory management, warehousing/3PL, and logistics.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills including unit economics, landed cost, margin optimization, and cash conversion cycle management.

  • Proven people leadership and cross-functional influence; ability to build lean, high-performing teams that scale.

  • Experience with premium/fashion brands; accessories/eyewear and international vendor management are pluses.

  • Familiarity with OKRs and stage-gate governance; BI tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI) and/or SQL are a plus.

  • Excellent communication; customer-obsessed, quality-driven, and metrics-led approach.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

Conditions

  • Location/Schedule: Based in the New Orleans headquarters, on-site 5 days per week.

  • Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance; life/AD&D and supplemental voluntary coverage; FSA and HSA programs; 401(k) investment options.
