Senior Node.js Developer (Fintech Project)

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Node.js Developer for a rapidly expanding European FinTech company. The role involves designing and implementing large-scale software solutions, managing feature development from specifications through maintenance, and mentoring junior team members on payment and financial services platforms.

• Design and implement large-scale software solutions and components using multiple technologies, with primary focus on React and Node.js
• Maintain consistently high quality throughout all stages of development
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to understand context for complex tasks
• Follow best engineering practices and company and client guidelines
• Play supervisory, advisory, and coaching roles for less-experienced engineers
• Promote clean code, design patterns, and engineering principles
• Handle feature aspects, specifications, technical design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance

• Over 5 years of experience in Back-end software development
• At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript
• Over 4 years of experience working with Node.js
• Strong experience in designing distributed and secure systems
• Good Front-end development skills
• Good understanding of microservices architectures
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining APIs
• Experience in building and consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with DevOps practices
• Strong experience working with AWS
• Good knowledge of testing best practices
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English

Position is for a FinTech project with a leading European payment institution. Role includes supervisory and mentoring responsibilities alongside technical development work.
