Summary

Thea Energy is a fusion energy company reinventing the stellarator to commercialize zero-emission power. The Vice President of Supply Chain will define and execute the global supply chain strategy and build the procurement and logistics infrastructure needed to scale from prototype to power plant. This executive role partners closely with leadership, finance, operations, and technical teams to secure critical components in a competitive global market.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a long-term global supply chain and procurement strategy aligned to company growth and commercialization roadmap.
  • Design the hiring plan and build a supply chain organization covering sourcing, subcontracts, supplier management, inventory/warehouse, and logistics.
  • Lead global supplier negotiations and establish strategic partnerships for critical materials and components (e.g., superconductors, vacuum vessels, power electronics).
  • Create, manage, and evolve policies, programs, and procedures for inventory control, logistics, and vendor management as the company scales.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, finance, and operations to integrate supply chain needs into planning and execution.
  • Support employee growth and help shape operations culture, fostering diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience with significant senior/executive leadership managing and scaling supply chain organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to support rapid growth, including transitions from R&D to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a big-picture view.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills with ability to work with board members, technical leads, and external partners.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment emphasizing speed and execution.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership supporting complex hardware programs and recruiting needs.
