The Human Resources Specialist supports the administrative department by managing onboarding, employee relations, records, and HR reporting to ensure compliant and effective people operations.
What you'll do
- Support onboarding for new employees to ensure a smooth transition
- Assist with employee relations by addressing concerns and promoting a positive work environment
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in compliance with policies and procedures
- Prepare and report staffing requirements, HR metrics, and related data to management
- Coordinate with departments to support HR operations, initiatives, and communication
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback sessions
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training programs to build skills and obtain HR-related certifications
- Contribute to culture and engagement initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- Completion of a 19-week paid training program covering business administration, performance management, employee relations, computer operations, and HR software
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification programs
- Prior HR or administrative experience is advantageous but not required
