Summary
Commit Offshore is hiring an AI Agent Architect to design and build production-grade autonomous AI agents powered by Large Language Models. This role is for experienced engineers who have shipped agentic systems and can architect complex multi-step reasoning pipelines while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency at scale.
What you'll do
- Build and operate autonomous AI agents in production environments
- Design multi-step reasoning pipelines including planning, tool-use, and orchestration
- Implement end-to-end RAG systems and establish evaluation frameworks to measure and improve quality
- Drive LLM cost optimization at scale through model selection, routing, caching/batching strategies, and usage controls
- Identify and mitigate failure modes in AI systems including hallucinations, retrieval issues, tool errors, and cascading failures
- Design multi-agent coordination patterns such as specialized agents, handoffs, routing, and communication protocols
- Deliver these systems as cloud-native services that are scalable, observable, and resilient
Requirements
- Proven experience building autonomous AI agents that run in production
- Experience designing multi-step reasoning and orchestration pipelines
- Hands-on implementation of RAG systems plus evaluation methodologies including testing, metrics, and iterative improvement
- Experience optimizing LLM costs at scale
- Strong understanding of AI system failure modes and practical mitigation approaches
- Experience with multi-agent coordination patterns
- Experience building cloud-native systems with focus on reliability, monitoring, and scalable deployment
