Graphic Designer

Summary

Body Art Alliance (BAA) is an innovative group of brands serving the body art, PMU, and beauty communities through product development and education. The Graphic Designer will create and deliver cohesive print and digital design assets across multiple in-house brands to support marketing, packaging, web, and event initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Create original visual content across print and digital formats for multiple PMU brands (packaging, emails, sell sheets, web/UX/UI, blog graphics, and print marketing materials).
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, copywriters, art directors, and creative partners to align designs with project goals, audience, and messaging.
  • Select, source, and create brand-appropriate graphics and assets based on project briefs.
  • Develop typography and layout concepts that align with brand standards and marketing objectives; provide samples for approval and iterate based on feedback.
  • Present drafts, participate in feedback sessions, and revise work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare final files for print and digital production, ensuring prepress and technical accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent application of brand guidelines across deliverables.
  • Provide additional creative support for other design initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (preferred).
    • BA in Marketing or related field with major/coursework in Art/Graphic Design (noted as preferred in posting).
  • Experience:

    • 2–4 years of professional experience in both print and digital design.
    • At least 3 years of related work experience (highly preferred per qualifications section).
    • Portfolio demonstrating graphic design proficiency (required).
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD).
    • Strong foundation in design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
    • Familiarity with packaging and prepress standards.
    • Knowledge of digital requirements for front-end web design, UX/UI, email, and social media.
    • Strong organization, ability to manage multiple projects, and excellent communication/collaboration.
    • Self-starter able to proactively drive projects with minimal oversight.
  • Preferred:

    • Experience in CPG, retail, or lifestyle brands.
    • Beauty or fashion industry experience.
    • Event design and environmental graphics familiarity.
  • Physical:

    • Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.
    • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally/if needed.
