Summary
Netflix is hiring an Associate, Production Finance to support the Original Studio Film team managing a self-produced features slate. The role partners closely with production accounting and cross-functional teams to oversee funding, cost tracking, reporting, and transitions through post accounting.
What you'll do
Partner with production, business affairs, post-production, creative, and corporate accounting teams to support studio film productions.
Onboard production accounting teams to Netflix policies, procedures, and internal systems.
Support production accounting with questions, issue resolution, and problem-solving.
Process show fundings and track costs paid internally per show.
Track budget drafts and notes and ensure production cost reports are submitted on time.
Oversee the transition to post accounting at production wrap.
Maintain and update show-related information in Netflix systems and provide internal reporting.
Liaise with internal corporate and content accounting teams.
Complete ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in production accounting or production finance (ideally as a 1st Assistant Accountant, strong Key 2nd, or similar level).
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, self-motivated, disciplined, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results.
Demonstrated integrity and strong personal/professional ethics; alignment with Netflix culture.
Degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Conditions
Based in the Hollywood office with an expectation to work onsite 4x per week.
Compensation is annual salary with no bonuses; employees can choose a mix of salary versus stock options annually.
