Summary
Origence is a fintech company providing SaaS lending solutions for credit unions across the United States. The Scrum Master supports Agile delivery across time zones and helps teams follow Scrum while contributing to a SAFe transformation to improve flow of value and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
Serve as a servant-leader, facilitating and supporting teams in day-to-day Agile practices.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Facilitate backlog refinement to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog.
Support program-level events (e.g., PI Planning breakouts, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt problem solving).
Identify, track, and help remove impediments and blockers to achieve sprint goals.
Drive improvements via retrospectives using insights from Agile metrics, data, and dashboards.
Maintain sprint board accuracy and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums.
Promote transparency, facilitate conflict resolution, and support team collaboration.
Monitor and track risks (without owning the risk) and support risk-related discussions.
Create a trusting, safe team environment where issues can be raised without blame.
Improve internal/external communications and make information visible to stakeholders.
Coach and mentor teams and individuals to improve performance and outcomes.
Provide training and reinforcement on Lean-Agile concepts, tools, and practices.
Support release management and facilitate release planning to improve value delivery flow.
Requirements
Experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or another scaled Agile environment.
3-5 years of experience in a software development environment.
3-5 years working on an Agile team.
3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
Expert knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and methods.
Demonstrated use of Agile metrics to track team and release progress.
Practical servant-leadership experience in Agile teams.
Experience participating in program events such as PI Planning.
Strong organizational and facilitation skills (e.g., System Demo, Inspect & Adapt problem solving).
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Self-starting mindset with willingness to take ownership of difficult challenges and drive change.
Proficiency with PC-based tools including MS Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Preferred: BA/BS in a technical or related field.
Preferred: PMP and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM); Advanced CSM (A-CSM) a plus.
Preferred: Experience with Azure DevOps and/or JIRA.
