Principal Full-stack Engineer (Node/React, Backend-focused)

Adaptiq is a technology hub specializing in building and scaling R&D teams for high-growth product companies. This Principal Full-stack Engineer role focuses on developing a cloud-native AI governance platform that intercepts, classifies, and controls high-velocity AI interactions in real time.

• Primary focus on backend engineering with Node.js/TypeScript - building high-performance services, scalable APIs, distributed processing flows, and policy-evaluation pipelines
• Contribute to React-based frontend to deliver features end-to-end when needed
• Take ownership of major technical decisions and architectural thinking including system structure, service-to-service communication, and production scalability
• Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and AI/security teams on mission-critical product development
• Work on real multi-service production systems with high degree of autonomy and technical ownership

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including strong understanding of runtime behavior and performance optimization
• Strong knowledge of backend architecture, distributed systems, scalable service design, and service-to-service communication in multi-service production environments
• Proven experience building SaaS systems with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) in containerized/cloud-native environments
• Practical React experience sufficient for full-stack delivery
• Strong communication skills and comfort working asynchronously in a distributed team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Excellent English (written and spoken)

• Nice to have: CI/CD pipelines experience, Python and/or Go, large-scale TypeScript backend systems, LLM/AI products exposure, ML/AI model integration, B2B or security-focused product background
