REMOTE - HR Representative
Summary
Ross Stores, Inc. (promoted via Lensa/DirectEmployers) is hiring a Remote HR Representative to support associates during Leave of Absence (LOA). The role focuses on accurate LOA administration, policy guidance, and delivering a high-quality internal customer experience using HR systems and cross-functional coordination.
What you'll do
Process LOA transactions in systems such as ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Sedgwick ViaOne, case management tools, and Excel (e.g., approvals/denials, benefit elections, corrections/adjustments).
Respond to associate inquiries via phone, email, LOA inbox, and voicemail; provide professional customer service and case follow-up.
Generate and manage cases, letters, and reports (e.g., benefit payment/exhaust communications) and maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
Communicate with internal partners and vendors (Payroll, Benefits, HR Services, etc.) to ensure smooth LOA administration and issue resolution.
Explain LOA-related policies and procedures across states/locations and guide associates on where to find resources.
Support compliance efforts by gathering critical data for audits/legal matters and assisting with legal holds as needed.
Provide reporting to track and monitor department work and service levels.
Cross-train, provide backup support for other LOA team members, and contribute to training/process improvement activities.
Stay current on company, state, and federal LOA guidelines; complete required training and maintain system proficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Preferred: LOA administration experience and knowledge of federal/state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, pregnancy, military leave).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team; sound judgment with complex and sensitive issues.
High attention to detail and accuracy; ability to learn quickly and ask questions.
Proficiency with online systems/databases; working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
Working knowledge/familiarity with PeopleSoft and HR systems, plus benefits and payroll practices.
Conditions
Remote position (within the United States); cannot be performed in the State of Colorado or in New York City.
Office/computer-based work with regular phone/email communication; requires sitting/standing/walking, typing, and handling files/paperwork.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance required.
Base pay range listed: $22.69–$32.79 per hour (total compensation may vary by factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and location).
