Middle Scala Developer

BetSymphony is developing a cutting-edge gambling platform to revolutionize the online gambling industry. As a Middle Scala Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building a scalable, high-performance backend system serving multiple brands. You will be involved in every stage of development, from design to deployment, working with a dynamic team that values creativity and excellence.

• Develop new features within the existing product
• Communicate with team members and the Product team
• Resolve technical problems as they arise
• Fix bugs in newly developed features
• Write unit tests and integration tests
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies
• Mentor middle and junior colleagues as required

• At least 3 years of experience building backend systems
• At least 2 years of experience working with Scala
• Experience building RESTful APIs and WebSockets
• Proficiency in Scala ecosystem (Akka, Play Framework, SBT)
• Experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
• Microservices architecture experience
• Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Database technologies experience (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps tools
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2 level)
• Ability to work in multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-organization
• Desirable: JIRA, Confluence, ZIO, Typelevel stack, Couchbase, ElasticSearch, gambling industry experience, TDD, AI-powered tools
