Summary

Paula’s Choice Skincare is a global, science-backed skincare brand founded in 1995. The Video Editor & Motion Designer will create compelling video and motion content to support product education, campaigns, social storytelling, and paid media across digital and e-commerce channels.

What you'll do

  • Edit and produce short- and long-form video content for social, paid media, e-commerce, email, and brand campaigns.
  • Design and animate motion graphics aligned with Paula’s Choice brand standards, typography, and visual language.
  • Create motion systems for recurring formats (e.g., product education, routines, testimonials, launches).
  • Apply strong pacing, rhythm, and storytelling to improve clarity and engagement.
  • Partner with Brand Design, Copy, Social, and Marketing to interpret briefs and deliver polished assets.
  • Collaborate in campaign planning to identify motion-first opportunities and creative efficiencies.
  • Participate in creative reviews and contribute ideas and solutions.
  • Ensure assets adhere to the brand book and visual identity guidelines.
  • Maintain high craft quality, accuracy, and attention to detail, especially for science-led content.
  • Adapt assets for multiple formats and platforms while preserving intent and quality.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organize project files, templates, and motion libraries to support scalability and efficiency.
  • Stay current on motion/editing tools and platform best practices to evolve content.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in video editing and motion design (brand, agency, or in-house).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.
  • Experience creating content for digital, social, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy in motion.
  • Familiarity with brand systems and working within established guidelines.
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating video editing and motion design work (required).
  • Comfort translating complex information into accessible, engaging motion content.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong timing, composition, and brand consistency.
  • Organized, self-directed, collaborative, open to feedback, and proactive.
  • Nice to have:

    • Experience in beauty, lifestyle, wellness, or consumer brands.
    • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, emerging creative technologies, or 3D design software.

Conditions

  • Location:

    • Based in Seattle, WA; preference for local candidates, but flexible on location.
    • Most roles are fully remote; some roles may be hybrid/onsite at Seattle HQ.
  • Hours:

    • Typical PST business hours; some flexibility required.
