Associate Merchandise Planner
Summary
VICI is a women’s fashion brand with a strong online and social presence, offering on-trend apparel and accessories through frequent curated drops and collaborations. The Associate Merchandise Planner supports the planning team by driving sales, margin, and inventory performance through forecasting, reporting, and inventory management. The role partners closely with senior planning, buying, marketing, site, and operations teams to meet financial and inventory objectives.
What you'll do
Monitor daily and weekly sales performance for select categories to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare presentations and reports for leadership on sales and inventory performance.
Maintain the weekly Open-to-Buy (OTB) model and reconcile variances to inventory targets.
Partner with buying to track receipts for best sellers and recommend chase actions, inventory flow timing, and pre-orders.
Analyze key inventory metrics including sell-through, weeks of supply, and aged inventory.
Recommend markdown and RTV actions to senior planner and buyers based on performance data.
Collaborate with buying on inventory and assortment tracking and reporting.
Communicate inventory and sales updates to marketing, site, and operations teams.
Support strategic initiatives (product debuts, promotions, influencer collaborations) through analysis and reporting.
Partner with outlet store manager on monthly allocations for aged or slow-moving product.
Prepare and maintain weekly selling reports and assist with quarterly hindsight reporting.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and ensure data accuracy across planning systems, spreadsheets, and reports.
Support additional analytical or administrative tasks as business needs evolve.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or inventory management (e-commerce preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic financial modeling.
Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (preferred).
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, or similar systems (beneficial).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with curiosity and willingness to learn.
Conditions
