Interior Design Assistant (part-time, remote)

Studio Mesa is a boutique residential interior design studio working on high-end projects from California to the Hudson Valley. They are hiring a part-time, remote Interior Design Assistant to support the design process and studio operations across multiple projects. The role is hands-on with real responsibility and offers growth and visibility into how a small studio operates.

• Create and update SketchUp models (working within existing files).

• Support space planning and development of floor plans.

• Create visuals and renderings for client presentations.

• Source products and materials; research finishes and options.

• Assist with procurement, order expediting, and vendor follow-up.

• Help with project organization, coordination, and administrative support.

• Professional interior design experience (high-end residential preferred).

• Proficiency in SketchUp and comfort working in existing project files.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong design instincts, visual judgment, and knowledge of materials/finishes.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly while working remotely.

Bonus:

• Adobe, layout, or rendering experience.

• Procurement or vendor coordination exposure.

• Proximity to Hudson Valley or NYC.

• Part-time: 10–20 hours per week to start.

• Remote role; candidates near Hudson Valley or NYC may have occasional on-site opportunities.

• Flexible schedule, but consistent availability is important.

• Pay: $30–$40 per hour depending on experience.
