Strategy and Operations Associate
Summary
Zillow is hiring a Strategy and Operations Associate for the StreetEasy RevOps team to align and optimize revenue-generating activities across NYC advertising and buyer programs. The role focuses on improving front-line sales and support effectiveness by translating data insights into process and tooling improvements that drive unified customer experience and revenue growth.
What you'll do
Analyze and map revenue-related business processes to identify bottlenecks and productivity opportunities for sales and support teams.
Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and success metrics for key revenue processes and operational improvements.
Deliver comprehensive reporting for existing and new products, providing data-driven insights and executive-ready storytelling on program health.
Manage revenue optimization projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and team objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure process/technical changes improve sales effectiveness and customer experience.
Solve ambiguous problems through end-to-end quantitative and qualitative analyses that inform strategic decisions and drive action.
Evaluate tooling needs and gaps for front-line teams and partner with product teams to refine the sales technology stack.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, business analysis, or a related quantitative role (preferably in a fast-paced technology or marketplace environment).
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to leverage complex datasets to generate insights for process improvements and organizational decisions.
Experience defining and monitoring KPIs to measure process health and impact of tools/initiatives.
Technical proficiency in SQL (or another programming language).
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or QuickSight) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to translate technical findings into compelling business narratives.
Business acumen and ability to balance competing priorities across multiple programs.
Project management experience leading complex optimization initiatives from conception through implementation and adoption.
Preferred: experience with Snowflake or Databricks; change management experience rolling out new policies/tools/processes; real estate industry background or support for high-touch (“white glove”) sales/customer operations.
Conditions
Remote role; employees work from a physical location of their choice within the United States (50 states), with limited exceptions, and must identify their working location to the company.
Compensation includes base salary plus eligibility for equity awards based on experience, performance, and location.
Base pay ranges by location: $98,900–$158,100 annually in CA, CT, MD, MA, NJ, NY, WA, and Washington DC; $94,000–$150,200 annually in CO, HI, IL, MN, NV, OH, RI, VT.
