Sourcing Analyst

Owlet Baby Care develops products designed to help keep babies safe and support parents worldwide. The Sourcing Analyst supports the sourcing team across the product lifecycle by onboarding and managing vendors, driving RFQs and NPI purchasing, and improving cost and material planning to ensure a resilient supply chain.

• Oversee vendor onboarding, including NDAs, new vendor forms, quality agreements, and manufacturing service agreements (MSA).
• Maintain and organize supplier documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
• Track supplier performance metrics and support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with data, analysis, and performance summaries.
• Coordinate supplier communications, help resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead RFQ processes to source suppliers for new development components supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and lead times.
• Manage purchase orders for NPI builds, coordinating quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules aligned with development timelines.
• Represent sourcing throughout the product development lifecycle in partnership with engineering and suppliers (component selection, supplier readiness, cost management).
• Support pricing negotiations for new and existing products to maintain cost competitiveness.
• Review supplier quotations to validate pricing and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Monitor monthly consignment inventory, yield loss, and PPV (Purchase Price Variance) reports to analyze cost drivers and support cost controls.
• Review weekly MRP with contract manufacturers to identify supply risks and support proactive planning.
• Partner with suppliers to improve inventory planning, demand alignment, and material readiness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages and avoid production interruptions.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement (preferably in manufacturing, medical, or consumer electronics environments).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Google Workspace tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Familiarity with basic AI tools and ability to use them to improve productivity, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.

• Preferred:

  • International sourcing or experience working with overseas suppliers.
  • Additional language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with sustainable sourcing or responsible procurement practices.
  • Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, or CIPS).
