REMOTE - HR Representative

The HR Representative supports associates during Leave of Absence (LOA) by providing administrative services, ensuring compliant and high-quality leave administration and customer service. The role focuses on accurate processing, communication with partners, and a smooth associate experience.

What you'll do

  • Process LOA transactions using ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Sedgwick ViaOne, case management tools, and Excel (uploads, approvals/denials, benefit elections, adjustments/corrections, cases, letters).

  • Respond to associate inquiries via phone/email; manage the LOA inbox and 800# voicemail.

  • Review and process Pay and Benefits forms and related documentation.

  • Communicate with internal partners and vendors (Payroll, Benefits, HR Services) to coordinate leave administration and resolve issues.

  • Explain LOA policies and procedures to associates across states/locations and guide them on where to find future resources.

  • Gather and document critical case data (notes, LOA dates) for compliance efforts, legal matters, and legal holds.

  • Provide reporting to track and monitor departmental work.

  • Cross-train and back up other LOA team members; support process improvements and training as needed.

  • Stay current on federal/state guidelines, company training, and system proficiency; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to build positive relationships with internal/external partners.

  • Preferred: LOA administration experience and knowledge of federal/state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, pregnancy, military).

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively; exercise judgment on complex and sensitive issues; learn quickly and ask questions.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft; familiarity with HR systems and Benefits/Payroll practices.

Conditions

  • Remote role; may be performed anywhere in the United States except Colorado and New York City.

  • Office/computer-based work; requires sitting/standing/walking, typing, phone use, and attending in-person and remote meetings.

  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance required.

  • Pay range listed as $22.69–$32.79 per hour (total compensation may vary by experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and location).
