Chief Operating Officer

Summary

Paradise Grills is America’s largest outdoor grills and furniture manufacturer, focused on premium welded steel frame products and innovative outdoor kitchen designs. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) leads and optimizes day-to-day operations across manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, logistics, installation, and customer service to deliver operational excellence and an exceptional customer experience. This role translates strategic vision into scalable processes that support growth while maintaining high quality standards.

What you'll do

  • Oversee all operational departments including manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, logistics, installation teams, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to support growth, showroom expansion, and market demand; establish scalable systems and processes.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, inventory, delivery, and installation schedules to ensure end-to-end execution from production through final installation.
  • Lead manufacturing operations including production planning/scheduling, quality standards, continuous improvement, cost reduction, and collaboration on sourcing and inventory levels.
  • Manage warehouse operations (receiving, inventory control, staging, shipping) and optimize distribution to showrooms and customer installations.
  • Optimize delivery routes, transportation costs, and logistics operations; implement technology to improve efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee installation and field operations to align schedules with production and customer expectations; set standards for quality, professionalism, and safety; monitor performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead customer service operations, define service standards and escalation procedures, monitor feedback, and drive cross-functional collaboration with sales and service teams.
  • Establish operational KPIs, analyze data to improve efficiency and throughput, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines; implement lean and best-practice operational excellence methods.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor labor utilization and operational costs, identify savings opportunities, and partner with finance on forecasting and planning.
  • Develop leaders and teams across operations functions; build accountability culture; create succession plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and applicable industry standards across facilities, warehouses, and installation teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Experience managing manufacturing and warehouse operations in a product-based small to mid-size company.
  • Preferred: experience overseeing logistics, delivery, or installation teams.
  • Proven ability to scale operations in a high-growth company.
  • Core competencies: operational strategy and execution; manufacturing/production leadership; warehouse and logistics optimization; installation/field operations management; customer experience leadership; process improvement and lean operations; financial and operational performance management; team leadership and organizational development.
